Manikanta Akula is the Founder & CEO of Rengy, India’s AI-powered platform transforming the way Rooftop Solar is designed, sold, and installed. His vision is to build the operating system for India’s residential solar ecosystem by connecting homeowners, Solar Vendors, Channel Partners, financing institutions, and government subsidy programs through one intelligent platform.
Recognizing that India doesn’t have a solar demand problem it has an execution problem, Manikanta founded Rengy to simplify every stage of the solar journey. Under his leadership, Rengy introduced India’s first AR Rooftop Solar Preview, enabling homeowners to visualize solar panels on their own roofs before installation, along with AI-powered solar design, streamlined subsidy workflows, and standardized project execution.
Before launching Rengy, Manikanta founded Osmium Energy, where he focused on delivering reliable renewable energy solutions and helping communities and businesses adopt clean energy. His experience in renewable energy, operations, and technology continues to drive Rengy’s mission of making rooftop solar accessible, transparent, and scalable across India.
Today, he is leading Rengy toward becoming the digital backbone of India’s distributed energy market empowering homeowners to adopt Rooftop Solar with confidence while helping Solar Vendors and Channel Partners grow through technology, automation, and trust.
